About Us

My passion for leather craft started over 19 years ago with shoe repairs and making rubber sandals from worn out vehicle tyres.

In 2016, and with the help of my elder brother Gordon, I formally established the David Dindi Leather brand in Cape Town. I then worked from a small commercial space in Salt River, where I manufactured sandals, shoes, bags and various customised leather accessories.

​

Since establishment, I have built a steady base of local and international customers, as well as corporate clients including Amarula, Kanabo Safaris, Urban paws and well-known ceramist Andile Dlabane. I have also gone on to host workshops to share my passion for leather crafting with others.

Being associated with quality, strength and durability, I am mindful that every leather product will be treasured for many years and eventually tell its own story. Custom-made to perfection with exceptional quality and personalised service continues to drive David Dindi Leather success. We aim to be the ultimate mark and statement of quality in custom-made leatherwear and accessories.
